Tasmanian Devil Behavior


The Tasmanian devil is a solitary animal. It is also a nocturnal animal and spends the day in its burrow. The Tasmanian devil is a scavenger and an opportunistic predator. It has good senses of smell and hearing. Unfortunately it doesn't have great eyesight. It has black and white vision. Tasmanian devils communicate by vocalizations. They also produce a strong odour when under stress. When the Tasmanian devil is angry, its ears turn red. The Tasmanian devil is a carnivorous animal. It eats dead animals, snakes, birds, rodents, lizards, and small wallabies.
